Tell us about yourself...
My name is Kaden Paris, and I’m 15 years old. I’m a Freshman at Freedom High School in Oakley, CA. I have two older siblings who also attended Freedom. I started playing baseball at the age of 5 playing Tee Ball. I started Little League at 7 and then travel ball by age 9. My hobbies are bowling, watching movies and listening to music.

How did you find out about the eda?
I learned about the EDA combine and program through my summer team coach, Darold Brown. My family has known coach Darold for about 10 years. I started my travel ball career with Coach Darold when I was 10. Coach Darold is well known throughout the Bay Area and in the baseball community.
WHAT DOES THE EDA OPPORTUNITY MEAN TO YOU?
I’m honored and blessed to have received the EDA scholarship. Having a group behind you like EDA as well as the mentors through the program is definitely a blessing. Having help with the whole college recruiting process is very valuable.
Share a little bit about your background...
I’m the youngest of 3 in my family. My family consists of my parents and my brother and sister. I’ve been playing sports since I was 6. As far as something I overcame, I’m unsure about that part of the question. I’m still pretty young. I haven’t had too many obstacles in my path. My motto is always to work the hardest, keep my faith in my abilities, and allow God to take care of the rest.

One fun fact about me is I’m a great hip-hop dancer!
What career would you like to do?
Ultimately, I would like to go on to play professional baseball. However, I also have an interest in sports medicine and communications. Maybe a Sports Analyst or something.
