New Orleans 2023

How did you find out about the eda?

I was selected as a top 50 player to attend the combine. I met and was recruited by Derek Del Rosal three months ago at the New Orleans Combine.

WHAT DOES THE EDA OPPORTUNITY MEAN TO YOU?

This scholarship means everything to me. Being awarded a scholarship helps support my dream of continuing my path to become a professional player. It helps my parents financially for all the sacrifices they’ve made throughout the years. This scholarship will prove that my hard work is showing and identifies my passion for baseball. More importantly, it means you are willing to invest in me and my future.

Share a little bit about your background...

I’ve had to overcome my obstacles and am still working on challenges. I have a severe speech impediment, ADHD, and a learning disability. My parents have worked really hard to help me this far by placing me in programs and private therapists. Because of my challenges, it’s been difficult socially and academically. I’m always worried about what people will think and say when I speak. I’m afraid of being teased and bullied. Baseball is my outlet, passion, and reason for pushing forward. I am a great baseball player, and I hope that when people look at me, they see an awesome player, not a kid with challenges. As one coach said, “Let your game speak for you,” and I try my best to do that.

tell us one fun fact about yourself...

I am shy.

What career would you like to do?

A professional baseball player.
